Woks - Cookware
The wok is a versatile round-bottomed cooking vessel originating in China. Woks can be found in a wide variety of sizes at Jean's Restaurant Supply. The unusual shape of the wok gives it some advantages over regular fry pans. The funnel like shape creates a small hotspot which allows food to be seared with very little fuel. The curved sides also make it easier to toss food without having to worry about spilling the contents. The large surface area and innovative design of the wok allow different degrees of cooking at the same time. It is possible to deep fry and shallow frying items in the same instance.
