The 7CB5 is an Everpure carbon block water filter replacement. It is designed for use in steam systems and has a capacity of 12,000 gallons. This replacement cartridge reduces:
- abrasion,
- clogging,
- scale build-up, and
- corrosion.
The rating of this water filter replacement cartridge is 5 microns, and it features chlorine and particulate reduction. Using this water filter cartridge for your steam system will provide you with longer lasting equipment, fewer delimings, and less down time. It also has a maximum flow rate of 1.67, and it is NSF approved. A one year warranty on defective materials and workmanship covers this steam system water filter.
This Everpure water filter attaches to a filter head. The water enters the top of the filter cartridge, flows down the inlet tube, and reaches the filter chamber. The incoming pressure forces the water through the filter membrane to remove the chlorine and particles. Then, the filtered water channels up the filter membrane and out of the filtration system. Be sure that you change your water filter cartridge every six months. If the water filter is not changed then clogging, channeling, or dumping may occur. When you change the filter cartridge, leave a 2 1/2 inch clearance below for easy replacement and be sure that you flush the new cartridge with the water on high flow.
