The MC-2 is an Everpure sanitary change water filter that is designed for usage in fountain beverage and combination applications. It is rated at .5 microns, which is the lowest micron rating possible, so it will remove 99.9% of the particles that are 1/2 micron in size as long as the filter lasts. This commercial water filter replacement cartridge attaches to the filter head and features a Precoat with Micro-Pure II Bacteriostat Protection. That means that this filter will inhibit the growth of bacteria, aid in cyst reduction, and reduce chlorine to provide better taste and fewer odors.
The water enters the top of the water filter cartridge and into the filter chamber. When the water passes through the filter, the carbon absorbs the chlorine, bad tastes, and odors. At the same time, the AgION in the filter inhibits bacterial growth. There is an exclusive pre-coat process in this water filter cartridge the Micro-Pure coats the filter membrane throughout the life of the water filter cartridge. Then, the incoming pressure forces the water through the Micro-Pure and through the filter membrane. The filtered water channels up through the filter membrane and out of the system.
This commercial water filter is NSF approved and has a capacity of 9,000 gallons.
