This Hobart vegetable peeler comes standard with a 3/4 HP motor which features manual reset overload protection. The switch on this unit is a manual tumbler type and is located on the right side of the discharge chute. If desired, the switch can be moved to the other side of the chute. A lightweight fiberglass reinforced plastic disc is 20-1/2 inches in diameter. The silicon-carbide abrasive is permanently bonded to the disc assuring longer service. The disc can be easily removed for cleaning purposes. This unit also has two angle mounted wipers which provide positive movement of waste into the outlet. This model peels 30-33 pounds in just one to three minutes. The inlet of this machine is the air-gap type and is mounted at the rear of the peeler. This design promotes self-cleaning and also forms a water curtain which prevents undesirable splash. The peeler and the peel trap unit are glass-beaded stainless steel and the plastic molded hopper cover is gray. The door, handle, discharge chute, and the legs are all cast aluminum. The bottom of the peeler is cushioned with rubber trim molding.
