You will find only the finest materials when looking at the GDIM 26 ice merchandiser. The exterior is made of high quality laminated vinyl. The interior of this ice merchandiser is made with NSF approved, white aluminum and a 300 series stainless steel floor.

True GDIM-26 Installation
True's GDIM26 comes standard with a 9 foot cord and plug ready for final connection to a NEMA 5-15R outlet. The electrical requirements for this ice merchandiser are: 115 volts, 60Hz, 1 phase, 9.8 amps. Since the GDIM26 comes with a factory wired plug, it is not recommended that these units are hardwired on site. By cutting the power cord, you void the UL rating and cause negative effects on the factory warranty for the entire ice merchandiser. Please make sure that you have the proper electrical connections prepared in order to begin using your ice merchandiser right away. The supplied power cord will run both the refrigeration system and the inside lights so only one central power source is required for each ice merchandiser. We do recommend that this ice merchandiser is used on a dedicated circuit to prevent amp loads on the building from kicking the breaker and taking this unit offline. The GDIM26 ice merchandiser runs on a self-contained refrigeration system which evaporates any residual condensation build up. A floor drain is not required for the True GDIM-26 ice merchandiser.

Make sure that you have adequate room to bring the ice merchandiser into the building and through all passageways. We always recommend that you always double check your measurements to make certain. These ice merchandisers are larger than typical residential refrigeration units so plan ahead! Aside from width make sure you will have enough headroom to get the unit through any corridors or door openings. It is also important to make sure that your ice merchandiser's door swings will not be a hazard to any close by obstructions. Since the GDIM-26 is a merchandising unit, its is best to strategically locate the unit. Keep it within clear visible site with easy access for your patrons. The more people looking at your ice merchandiser, the more ice you will sell. This ice merchandiser also includes an electronic ballast with T-8 light bulbs within the cabinet, giving your customers more illumination while keeping your operation energy efficient. Lighting is also provided for the door by a patented, full length integrated door light (IDL). Since the majority of ice merchandisers are set on display away from the kitchen, ventilation is normally not an issue. However, keep in mind that since these units do have bottom mounted compressors, it is always best to install in an area where airborne particles are a minimum. Like traditional reach-in refrigeration, the GDIM-26 should not be installed near any flour or areas were heavy mixing is done. Air particles will clog the compressor grills over time and this will have negative effects on your units as well as limit its energy efficiency. Bottom mounted compressors do have several advantages over top mounted versions. Since the GDIM26 ice merchandiser utilizes a bottom mounted compressor, all the air collected comes from the coolest, most grease free, area of establishment. Bottom mounted compressors allow the top of the ice merchandiser to serve as an additional storage space.

Delivering the True GDIM-26
Because the GDIM-26 is too heavy to delivery using standard parcel carriers (UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) it will have to be shipped by a freight carrier. Freight carriers will bring your unit to a loading dock or to curbside. However, the freight carrier will assume you have the proper equipment such as a forklift, to load it off of the truck. If you do not have a forklift or a loading dock, then you will need a lift gate. A lift gate is a hydraulic platform the lowers your equipment from the truck down to the street. If you require a lift gate, please contact us so that we may schedule it with your order. Freight delivery does not include set up and installation so, it is your responsibility to bring the equipment inside your building. Please have adequate personnel ready on the day of delivery.
