This countertop tenderizer comes equipped with a 1/2 HP motor. The blades and shafts on this tenderizer are made of heavy duty stainless steel. The cleaning combs are a satin finish stainless steel and the combs guide the meat between the rollers and automatically prevents any accumulation of meat between the knives. This unit has an automatic unit lock that holds the assembly in place. The housing of this tenderizer consists of a cast aluminum gear case and motor housing with a high impact plastic translucent guard. The light out unit is nested by cast aluminum support on stainless steel tie bars and shields. This unit is designed to be cleaned quickly and easily. This unit has 3 safety features: (1) a safety interlock on the translucent and the motor housing. This unit also has remote electro-magnetic sensing switches that detect if the guard or the motor housing are not in place and will prevent feed. (2) the integral chute in the translucent guard keeps hands at a safe distance from the tenderizing knives. (3) the machine has a pilot light which warns when the machine switch is on even though the machine is in-operable because the translucent guard or the motor housing is not in place. The finish of this tenderizer is a burnished aluminum and a translucent plastic.
