Rubbermaid

Rubbermaid has a long history of providing the hospitality, service, and restaurant industries. However, in 1920 they began as a toy balloon maker. In 1934 they introduced the first rubber dust pan that proved to be a remarkable success. They phased out their balloon department and began focusing on the restaurant, hospitality and service industry’s needs. The first plastic product they offered was a dish pan which took them into the Housewares market. Their bath mat with the suction cups revolutionized their hotel market and it was due to this single bath mat that they became the Rubbermaid Commercial Products company.
