Reach-In Freezer, Stainless Steel, One Section, 2 Half Door, Traulsen G12000

The G12000 is one of Traulsen’s many G-series reach-in freezers. It requires a 115 volt, 1 phase, 15 amp dedicated outlet and is NSF and UL approved. This commercial freezer is backed by a one year warranty on parts and labor and a five year warranty on the compressor, and it is rated at 644 watts. Included at no extra charge is a 9 foot cord and plug. This restaurant freezer is composed of one freezing section that has two half doors which are right hinged. It has a holding capacity of 24 cubic feet and comes with three epoxy coated wire shelves that can each hold up to 225 lbs. Standard with this upright freezer is a microprocessor control system. This system is water resistant, features a three digit LED display, and can show the temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius.

The exterior of this two half door reach-in freezer, as well as the doors and the one piece louver assembly, are all 20 gauge stainless steel. The cabinet sides, interior, and door liners are anodized aluminum while the exterior top, back and bottom are heavy gauge aluminized steel. This restaurant freezer sits on six inch casters and the entire thing is foamed-in-place with high density, CFC free, polyurethane insulation. Behind each commercial freezer door is an anti-condensate heater, and each door also has a recessed door handle that is guaranteed for life. Both half doors have removable plug cylinder locks and cam-lift, self-closing, metal door hinges that have a 120 degree stay open feature. These hinges are backed by a lifetime guarantee and they have a concealed switch that automatically activates the incandescent interior lighting to provide you with energy efficiency and excellent food visibility.

This Traulsen freezer features a top mounted, self-contained, balanced refrigeration system. It uses R404A refrigerant that is located behind the louver assembly. Also utilized in this refrigeration system is an air-cooler hermetic compressor, a thermostatic expansion valve, and a top mounted, non-electric condensate evaporator. A large, high humidity evaporator is located outside the food zone of this reach-in freezer, and there is also a front facing condenser that is very easy to clean. Be sure that you clean your condenser coil every thirty days, because a dirty condenser can lead to compressor failure. You can clean the condenser coil with a stiff wire brush and this will help lower electrical costs as well as minimize service expenses.

Hard water and food deposits can lead to rust and pitting on high quality stainless steel. That is why it is a good idea to clean off the stainless steel with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner.
