Description 

This prefilter is the Everpure P1, which is made from polypropylene. The water from the drain line enters the top of the filter cartridge and it flows through the inlet tube to the chamber. The water flows freely and evenly and the prefilter removes the sediments, such as dirt and other particles. Then, the water channels up through the filter membrane and out of the system, to create ice. This commercial ice prefilter is NSF approved. Because it is rated at one micron, it can remove sediments and dirt that are quite small. If the filter becomes clogged, no water will flow. Sometimes though, the water creates a new channel to flow through, so you will be unaware that the water is not being filtered. So, be sure that you change the filter often.

This sediment prefilter is NSF approved. It is rated at 1 micron and so it is an excellent prefilter for any ice machine that has problems with sediments, dirt, and other harmful and foul tasting particles.
