This Hobart 20 quart mixer is equipped with a heavy-duty 2.7 HP switched reluctance motor. This mixer has four fixed speeds plus the stir speed. The machine also contains shift-on-the-fly controls which allows the mixer to change speeds while the machine is running. Each speed has a soft transition into a higher speed which reduces the chances of product splash-out. The bowl guard has a heavu-duty stainless steel wire front and a solid stainless steel rear portion. The front portion of the bowl guard rotates easily to add ingredients and to install or remove the agitator. The guard also detaches very easily in seconds for cleaning in the dishwasher or in the sink. The guard must be in the closed postion before the mixer will operate. The standard finish on this mixer is metallic grey hybrid powder coat. Neoprene footpads also come standard with this unit. The Hobart mixer also comes with front-mounted Hobart #12 taper attachment hub for use with the #12 size attachments.
