A pizza cutter is a utensil that is used to cut pizzas. There are three main types of pizza cutters. The most common is the pizza wheel, which uses a wheel with a sharp edge that rotates while a person moves the cutter in a direction that they would like to cut the pizza. The other type is a large curved knife with one vertical handle on each end called a mezzaluna, which is rocked back and forth to cut the pizza. Finally, there is a pizza knife which is similar to a mezzaluna, but only has one horizontal handle.
