This Hobart 12 quart mixer comes standard with a heavy-duty 1/2 HP high torque motor and also has a direct driven transmission. This unit has three speeds which are low, intermediate, and high, plus it also has a stir speed as well. A 15-minute SmartTimer comes standard with this machine and includes automatic time recall which remembers the last time set for each speed. The bowl guard on this unit has a heavy-duty stainless steel wire front and a solid rear portion. The front section of the guard rotates easily to add ingredients and to install or remove the agitator. It detaches from the unit in seconds for easy cleaning in the dishwasher or in the sink. The rear section of the guard can be cleaned while attached to the machine. The guard must be in the closed position before the mixer will operate. This unit has a metallic gray hybrid powder coat finish. This mixer comes with a front-mounted Hobart standard #12 taper attachment hub for use with #12 size attachments.
