This Hobart 20 quart mixer comes standard with a heavy-duty 1/2 HP high torque motor and a gear driven transmission. This unit has three speeds which are high, intermediate, and low, plus also a stir speed as well. Shift-on-the-Fly controls allows the operator to change speeds while the mixer is running. Each speed on this machine has a soft transition into a higher speed which reduces the chance of product splash-out. The 15 minute SmartTimer on this machine provides accurate results and eliminates overmixing. Also, it has an automatic time recall that remembers the last time set for each speed and is great for making multiple batches. The bowl guard has a heavy-duty stainless steel wire front and a solid rear portion. The front portion of the guard rotates easily to add ingredients and to install or remove the agitator. The guard detaches easily in seconds for cleaning in the dishwasher or in the sink. The guard has to be in the closed position before the mixer will operate. This mixer has a metallic gray hybrid powder coat finish. This mixer also comes with a front-mounted Hobart standard #12 taper attachment hub for use with Hobart #12 size attachments.
