This Hobart 80 quart all purpose mixer comes equipped with a heavy-duty 3.0 HP motor and a gear driven transmission. This unit has four fixed speeds which are first, second, third, and fourth, and also a stir speed for incorporating, blending, and mixing the ingredients. It also has shift-on-the-fly controls which allows the operator to change speeds while the mixer is running. Each speed has a soft transition when shifting to a higher speed to reduce to chances of product splash-out. A 50-minute SmartTimer on this unit provides accurate results and eliminates the chance of overmixing and it also has an automatic time recall option that remembers the last time set for each speed and is great for making multiple batches. The bowl guard is a heavy-duty stainless steel wire front and a solid stainless steel rear portion. The front portion of the bowl guard rotates easily to add ingredients and to install or remove the agitator. The guard also detaches in seconds for cleaning in the dishwasher or in the sink. The guard on this unit must be in the closed position before the mixer will operate. The bowl lift is powered by an electric motor and the bowl may be raised or lowered by the fingertip control. The bowl will remain in position until the switch is activated. Once the bowl is raised, the mixer will then automatically shift into the preselected speed. Neoprene footpads come standard with this unit also. This machine has a metallic gray hybrid powder coat finish.
