The Vulcan Hart VELT40 is an electric tilting kettle that requires a 3 phase, 240 or 480 volt dedicated outlet. This tabletop kettle uses only 18 KWH and can hold 40 gallons, which will provide you with 1,280 4 ounce servings. It is an electric, 2/3 jacketed, and floor mounted. This steam kettle has a fully welded, hemispheric bottom kettle that utilizes a 316 series stainless steel jacket and lining. The jacket is tested to 50 psi and features stainless steel enclosure to provide a self-locking tilt mechanism. This soup kettle tilts forward 90° to empty and it sits on tubular stainless steel legs that have flanged feet. The controls are enclosed in stainless steel housing for extra protection and they include a thermostat, power switch, pressure relief valve, low water signal light, power “ON” light, vacuum/pressure gauge, and pressure relief valve. For extreme flexibility, all the elements in this steam kettle are field replaceable.
This stainless steel electric kettle comes with a faucet bracket that is 90° left of the draw off valve. It also has a 2 inch compression draw off valve with a strainer and a hinged cover. Optional features and accessories are available with this Vulcan Hart kettle including a second year extended warranty on parts and labor, a lift-off cover, contour measuring strips, or a even a clean-up kit. This tilting steam kettle is backed by a one year warranty on parts and labor and is NSF, UL, and CSA approved. It is important that the inside of the kettle is cleaned very well after ever use to prevent flavor transfer. In addition, stainless steel has a tendency to rust and pit after long periods, due to hard water and food deposits. Therefore, the stainless steel should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and a cleaner that is free from chlorides and quaternary salts.
