It has a holding capacity of 320 cubic feet and is made from 26 gauge embossed galvalume on the interior as well as the exterior. This commercial freezer is completely insulated with 4 inch thick, CFC free, polyurethane insulation. To keep the panels aligned perfectly, this freezer has Posi-Lock locking assemblies. The PVC gaskets are foamed in place to prevent them from moving; and for even more durability, the tongue and groove sectional panels are interlocking and there are double 90° bends on the metal edges of the walls. It is important that you clean this industrial freezer often and correctly because it is a huge long term investment. The interior and exterior can be cleaned with a mild soap and water and the gaskets can be cleaned with a solution of baking soda and warm water. Check the screws in the latch and hinges often to be sure that they are not loose, and check the gaskets as well to make sure that they do not break. The hinges need to be re-lubricated every two months with petroleum jelly.
This indoor walk-in freezer has heated air-vents to eliminate vacuum and pressure build-up and the floor panels have coved corners for easy cleaning. Also included is an electric coil defrost system and a defrost timer. There is one heated, self-closing door in this restaurant freezer, and it measure 26 inches by 78 inches. This door has magnetic gaskets, cam-lift hinges, keyed door locks, and even a heater strip that is fitted into the door jamb to prevent frost and condensation build-up. Also featured on the door of this commercial freezer is a 2 1/2 inch dial thermometer and a switch to turn on and off the interior vapor-proof lights. The temperature is held at -10°F by a side or top mounted refrigeration system. This refrigeration system that cools this restaurant freezer is self-contained; it uses an air cooled condenser, an automatic evaporator, a 1 3/4 horsepower compressor, an expansion valve system, and high pressure safety controls. Don’t forget that a dirty condenser can lead to compressor failure. Therefore, you need to clean the condenser coil and the fan blades every thirty days with a stiff wire brush.
There are a one year parts and labor warranty, a five year compressor warranty, and a ten year panel warranty covering this Koplak freezer. It is NSF, UL, and CSA approved as well. Options are available such as right or left door hinging, interior and exterior ramps, shelving kits, strip curtains, or fluorescent lights.
Installing your Koplak walk-in freezer is a cinch. First you simply assemble the panels on the floor, or screed, and lift the ceiling panels into place. Next, roll the refrigeration system to the ceiling (if it is top mounted) and bolt it into place. All this can be done without a drain line, a plumber, or even a refrigeration technician. Wiring is quite easy too. Attach a pigtail and all that is left to do is plug the freezer into the wall.
