Ice-O-Matic’s ICE0500HA ice maker is a high quality ice machine head. It has an ultra-low profile; it is only 20 inches tall and has top air discharge so no side clearance is required. This restaurant ice making machine is made of heavy duty, corrosion-resistant, 300 series stainless steel so it should be cleaned with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner. It uses CFC free, R404A refrigerant and has a self-contained, air-cooling condenser and a high quality compressor that is backed by a five year warranty. The evaporator has a seven year warranty when the water filter is changed every six months and all the other components have a three year warranty on all parts and labor. This industrial ice maker produces half sized cubes that are 7/8 inches by 7/8 inches by 3/8 inches and it has electro-mechanical controls. It is very important that you clean the condenser coil and the fan blades every thirty days to reduce electrical costs and minimize service expenses.

HarvestAssist insures consistent ice production 24 hours a day by pushing the ice into the bin instead of waiting for gravity to overpower the scale. PureICE is another feature that is a built-in antimicrobial protection that prevents slime, bacteria, and fungus. This industrial ice machine uses 10,843 BTU’s per hour and has an ARI production (90°F air/70°F water) of 461 lbs. of ice and an application production (70°F air/50° water) of 620 lbs. of ice every 24 hours. Only 23.4 gallons of water and 7.3 KWH are used for every 100 lbs. of ice that is produced. Just a reminder, ice is food and should be treated as such. Never use hands or a glass to scoop ice. Instead use a spoon, ice scoop or tongs and store these utensils outside of the ice bin to prevent the possibility of contamination.
