The Vollrath 38945 is a portable electric hot food table which requires a 120 volt dedicated breaker. This steam table measures 60 inches in width, 57 inches in height, and 24 inches in depth and it has four food wells. These food holding wells are designed to hold your food above the HACCP “danger zone” of 140°F and they are also very easy to clean. For easy cleaning, there are individual brass drain valves in the four food wells of this steam table. The dome heating elements concentrate the energy to the wells for more efficiency, and these dome heating elements also use 25% less energy than competing brands. This buffet bar is insulated with high density glass fiber insulation for excellent food preservation and it has an easy to access, fully enclosed, clear acrylic breath guard. There is a wide stainless steel plate rest that can fold down for easy storage and there is an optional storage base with doors.

This restaurant electric hot plate table has an exterior that is constructed from steel and covered in scratch resistant vinyl. This vinyl can come in four different colors such as evening dust, walnut wood grain, black, and cherry wood grain, so your food table can match your establishment perfectly. Vollrath’s buffet bar also has a one-piece stainless steel workspace for easy operation. All of the food wells in this portable food station are individually controlled and all the controls and the power switch have mechanical guards for extra safety. The heating elements are are cast in for longer life and they are non-stick to prevent scale build-up. Included with this commercial hot food table is a ten foot cord that is bottom mounted to stay out of the way.

This electric hot food station is NSF and UL approved and it requires spillage pans (which are sold separately). It is important to cover your food products when they are not being served to keep them warm. Be sure that your clean your buffet bar often. The stainless steel should be wiped down with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner that is free from quaternary salts to reduce the possibility of rust and pitting. The inside of the food wells should be wiped out after every use to remove the water deposits. Each of these wells can hold a full or fractional food pan that is no more than 6 inches deep.
