Vollrath’s 38730 is an electric hot food station that is portable. It requires a 120 volt dedicate outlet and it can come in four different colors: black, cherry wood grain, evening dust, and walnut wood grain. This commercial hot food table is NSF and UL approved. It measures 60 inches in width, 57 inches in height, and 24 inches in depth. There are four food holding wells in this steam table that have high density glass fiber insulation. These food wells are very easy to clean, each have their own brass drain valve, and they are separately controlled by thermostatic heat controls. Each well in this electric buffet bar measures 20 inches by 12 inches and is equipped with a 525 watt element that has infinite setting controls. The heating elements in this hot food station are non-stick to prevent slime build-up and they are also cast-in for longer service life. For energy efficiency, the dome lights in this electric steam table use 25% less energy than competing brands. The light bulbs for this food table are sold separately.
Above this Vollrath hot food station is a fully enclosed, clear acrylic breath guard that has a 12 inch clearance, and it is also easy to access. This steam table also features a one-piece stainless steel work surface and a stainless steel plate rest that folds down for easy storage. The base of this electric buffet table is constructed form steel and clad in scratch resistant vinyl which can come in the array of colors that have already been mentioned. An optional storage area in the base of the table can be ordered and this storage area comes with doors for ease of access. We recommend using 4 inch deep food pans but each well can hold full or fractional sized food pans that are no more than 6 inches deep. For the best preservation of your food products, you should keep them covered when food is not being served, and the foods should be stirred often as well. To protect your long term investment, we advise you to clean your electric steam table often. To reduce the possibility of rust and pitting, the stainless steel should be wiped down with a soft cloth and a cleaner that is free from chlorides and quaternary salts. The inside of the wells should be wiped down regularly too.
