Vollrath?s 38003 is an electric steam table that requires a 120 volt, 15 amp dedicated outlet. It has three food wells and it is rated at 480 watts. This commercial hot food table is designed to hold food at temperatures above the HACCP 'danger zone' of 140?F. The temperature is maintained when the food and inset are used with the inset cover and the food is stirred often. The actual temperature of this steam table is controlled by the thermostatic heat controls that adjust for food volume and water temperature and help reduce the amount of food waste. For energy efficiency, the dome lights use 25% less energy and they concentrate the energy into the wells. When the maximum power efficiency is needed, there are capillary tube thermostats on this hot food station that control the power supply. Two more excellent features of the heating elements are that they are cast-in for longer life and they have a no-stick surface to reduce scale build-up. For safety, the power switch and the controls on this electric steam table have mechanical guards and the ten foot power cord is bottom mounted to keep it out of the way.

This Vollrath hot food station comes with a 7 inch wide plate shelf, an 8 inch wide, 3/8 inch thick NSF approved cutting board, and stainless steel adjustable legs. The three food wells in this hot food table are self insulating, will not rust or pit, and are easily cleaned. To keep the top surface dry, the wells have wide, no drip lips and each have their own brass drain valve. For excellent flexibility, this three well steam table uses standard adapter plates and insets. It can hold fraction or full-size pans up to 6 inches deep. This food steam table is NSF approved and is easy to clean. The stainless steel needs to be wiped down with a non-chloride cleaner and a soft cloth.
