The electric Vollrath 38118 is a hot food station that requires a 240 volt, 15 amp dedicated breaker. It has four food holding wells and dome heating elements that concentrate the heat toward the wells. This commercial hot food table has thermostatic heat controls that reduce food wastes by automatically adjusting for water temperature and food volume changes. When maximum energy efficiency is necessary, this steam table utilizes a capillary tube thermostat. The four wells in this buffet bar are rust and pit proof, self-insulated, easily cleaned, and each has a brass drain valve. The wells also feature a wide no-drip lip to keep the top surface dry, and each well will hold full or fractional size pans that are no more than 6 inches deep. Another excellent thing about this electric steam table is the fact that it can use standard adapter plates and insets, which will provide you with more serving flexibility.

This Vollrath hot food station comes with a 7 ½ inch plate shelf, an 8 inch wide, 3/8 inch thick cutting board, and a bottom mounted ten foot power cord. The heating elements in this commercial hot food station are cast in for longer life and have a non-stick surface to prevent slime build-up. Each of the controls and the power switch have mechanical guards for extra safety and reliability. It is important that you have the correct amount of water in each of the wells, and the insets and inset covers are used together to keep the food at its required temperature. This electric buffet table is stainless steel, and it should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner to reduce the possibility of rust and pitting.
