The TMDG-48 is a Toastmaster brand gas griddle. It has a ¾ inch thick griddle plate that is rolled, polished, and made of steel. The griddle top in the gas grill is heated by four U shaped burners that are controlled by a standing pilot system and each has its own heat control valve on the front panel of the grill. For protection against spills and grease, there is a 4 inch splash guard on the sides and rear. The front and top rail of this restaurant griddle is stainless steel while the rear panel and the sides are constructed from aluminized steel.
This gas griddle uses a total of 140,000 BTUs per hour on natural gas and comes with a rear gas connection and a gas pressure regulator. This grill measures 48 inches in width and 25 ½ inches in depth and also comes with four inch adjustable legs. It is NSF and UL compliant and is backed by a one year warranty on parts and labor. There are no electrical requirements. However, this Toastmaster griddle must be installed in a non-combustible location. To save money while cooking with you restaurant griddle you should be sure that you preheat the grill only to the temperature that you are going to cook at, and clean the top cooking plate after every use with a scraper. To protect the stainless steel from rust and pitting wipe it down often with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner.
