The 548TGD is a Star electric griddle that is perfect for busy restaurants and cafes. It is backed by a one year warranty on parts and labor and is UL approved. This commercial grill has a 4 ½ inch high, tapered, stainless steel wrap around splash guard that protects against spills and grease splatters. There is also a spatula-wide, 3 ¼ inch grease trough and a 4 ½ quart stainless steel grease drawer for easy clean up. To protect against burns, the four snap-action thermostatic controls are covered with heavy-duty guard knobs and they control the heat from 150ºF to 450ºF. Each heat valve controls twelve inches of the griddle plate for a total of 48 inches. There is a 4000 watt heating element for every control knob on this electric grill that provides excellent heating performance and sectional heat control, and even an indicator light to inform you when the griddle is on to help reduce the possibility of burns.
This Star electric grill requires hardwire installation and a plug and cord are not included. The front panel is made from stainless steel, the trim is black polycarbonate, and the side panels are aluminized steel. Because this grill has double walled construction, it may be installed within one inch of a combustible surface, which is perfect for kitchens with limited space. Included with this restaurant griddle is four inch adjustable legs that are nickel-plated and can hold up under any conditions. This commercial electric grill measures 48 inches in width, 27 7/8 inches in depth, and 15 ½ inches in height. It operates on 208 to 240 volts and comes with a junction box at the rear for making electrical connections.
