The 524TGD is a Star brand electric griddle. It has a double walled construction, so it can be installed within one inch of a combustible surface, and adjustable, nickel-plated, die cast legs. The griddle surface of this commercial grill is 24 inches and the ¾ inch steel griddle plate provides an excellent cooking performance, even heat distribution, and quick temperature recovery. There are two snap-action heat controls that are covered by heavy duty knobs to protect against burns. Each control knob heats 12 inches of the cooking surface using a 4000 watt heating element. This superior design provides sectional heat control from 150ºF to 450ºF. Another extra feature on this industrial grill is the light on the exterior that indicates whether the grill is on.
This Star griddle has a stainless steel front panel, black polycarbonate trim, and double walled aluminized steel side panels. There is also a wrap around stainless steel splashguard that is 4 ½ inches high to protect against spills and grease spatters. The spatula wide, 3 ¼ inch grease trough drains the grease to the stainless steel grease drawer for ease of cleaning. Included with this electric griddle is a junction box to make electrical connections. This restaurant grill has a one year warranty on parts and labor and is NSF and UL approved. It measures only 24 inches in width, 27 7/8 inches in depth, and 15 ½ inches in height and its stainless steel should be protected by cleaning it with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner.
