- Many glassware owners claim vinegar is a great way to remove residue. However be careful! Mixing vinegar with bleach creates a very harmful gas!
- Hand washing fine glassware is the best method of cleaning. Hand detergent contains much less alkaline and is much gentler on your glassware. Hand drying your fine glassware is also recommended.
- If your glassware is 'cloudy', soak it with water and denture cleaning tablets until the residues are removed.
- Chilling your glassware makes for a great presentation when serving drinks. Keep your glassware in the freezer for about 2-3 hours. Pour your cold drink as quickly as possible into the chilled glassware. Never pour hot liquids into cold glassware!
- Take special considerations for washing glassware with silver or gold rims. Do not use hot water, harsh soap, or ammonia when cleaning this type of glassware.
