The TF40 is a Therma-Tek gas fryer that runs on natural or propane gas. It measures 15 ½ inches in width, 33 1/8 inches in depth, and 49 ¾ inches in height and has a capacity to hold up to 40 lbs. This commercial fryer is stainless steel on the front and sides and it sits on six inch adjustable legs. A six inch sides and back clearance is required from combustible materials and this fryer is also UL approved and backed by a one year limited warranty on parts and labor. Three burners are utilized in this commercial fryer that use a total of 105,000 BTUs per hour. Two chrome plated fry baskets come standard.
This restaurant frying machine has a ½ inch NPT gas connection and a 1 ¼ inch in diameter drain valve for super easy cleaning. It features a millivolt pilot that requires no electrical connection and it has an automatic single standing pilot ignition. The mechanical thermostat on this kitchen fryer can adjust the temperature from 200ºF to 400ºF and it has a 100% safety shut off. Also included with this gas fryer is a clean out rod, a range match, a crumb screen, and a drain tube. The bottom of the tank of this restaurant frying machine is sloped to allow the oil to fully drain. Another fabulous feature is the large cool zone that isolates food particles from the frying area to prevent them from carbonizing, which prolongs the life of the oil.
It is important that you filter the oil in your gas fryer often to prevent over and under cooking your foods. It is a good idea to cover the oil when it is not being used because light breaks down shortening fast. Clean the frying baskets often but dry them off completely before putting them back in the fryer; oil and water do not mix.
