This Dean fryer is the SR42G. It has a stainless steel front, door, backsplash, flue cover, and fry vessel, and the sides are aluminized steel. This deep fat fryer has a wire form basket hanger and two fry baskets that measure 5.62 inches by 5.62 inches by 13.25 inches, and the handles are insulated. This gas fryer comes with 6 inch adjustable steel legs and a ¾ inch NPT gas connection. It features a Thermo-Tube design that saves you money on energy. The heating tubes on this restaurant fryer are surrounded by oil and heat absorption is maximized by controlled flow tube diffusers. The energy is forced into the oil with less unused oil going up the vent. This commercial deep fryer can fry a huge variety of foods in its 14 inch by 14 inch fry area, it uses only 35-43 lbs. of oil, and it has a one inch drain valve for fast and easy clean up. There is a cool zone that traps crumbs and food particles under the cooking area to prevent canonization and oil contamination.


For minimum maintenance, this Dean gas fryer has stainless steel diffusers and rugged cast iron burners. It features a millivolt pilot system, uses 105,000 BTUs per hour, and requires no electrical hookup. This heavy duty gas frying machine has a very quick heat up time relative to gas consumption, and it has a low idle cost during slow periods. It also has a low gas consumption per load of food products that are cooked and it has a mechanical thermostat that eliminates lost time in waiting between loads of food products.


When cooking your foods with your gas deep fryer, you should minimize the oil’s exposure to air by covering up the fryer when it is not in use, because oxygen breaks down oil. Keep unused oil in lightproof containers and don’t set the temperature too high because it breaks down the shortening. It is important to keep your restaurant gas fryer clean because it is such a long term investment. You should wipe down the fryer and the cool zone quite often with a cloth and wipe down the stainless steel with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner to protect it against the possibility of rust and pitting.


Optional accessories can be ordered with your commercial fryer including stainless steel sides and casters. This Dean gas fryer is NSF and CSA certified and it requires either natural or propane gas.
