Toastmaster’s TECF1439 is an economical and flexible electric countertop fryer. It requires a 240 volt, 1 phase, or 480 volt, 3 phase dedicated outlet. This commercial fryer has immersion type, stainless steel, tubular heating elements that can swing up. These elements surround the sides, bottom, front, and back of the oil tank and a handle is provided for raising and lowering the heating elements. There is a cold zone in this electric fryer that is right beneath the heating elements to catch crumbs and food particles and prevent them from contaminating the cooking oil. There are two tanks that hold the cooking oil and they can hold up to 30 lbs. The temperature of the cooking oil in this restaurant fryer is controlled by a thermostat that adjusts the temperature from 250°F to 400°F and it has a positive OFF position. This thermostat is temperature limiting for when the fryer is overheating and there is a signal light to inform you when this is happening.
This Toastmaster electric deep fryer is made from welded and reinforced stainless steel at the front, sides, and top and the rear is constructed from aluminized steel. It measures 23 5/8 inches in depth, 25 inches in width, and 12 7/8 inches in height. This economy fryer comes with two full size, chrome plated frying baskets. It is backed by a one year warranty on parts and labor (U.S. only).
This frying machine is very simple to clean and can fit in almost any kitchen. When cooking with your restaurant fryer, be sure that you filter the oil to prevent the possibility of burning or undercooking your foods. Also, don’t forget to clean the fryer often. The stainless steel should be wiped down with a non-chloride cleaner that is free from quaternary salts and a soft cloth to prevent rust and pitting. Do not ever immerse your fryer in water or spill water on the controls or the control panel because that can cause internal damages.
