The Toastmaster TECF1427 is an electrical fryer. It requires a 240 volt, 1 phase or a 480 volt, 3 phase dedicated breaker. This commercial fryer is backed by a one year warranty on parts and labor (U.S. only) and is NSF approved. It is welded and reinforced stainless steel on the front, sides, and top, and the rear is aluminized steel. This deep fryer comes with one 15 lb. stainless steel tank for the cooking oil and there are two chrome plated fry baskets. It features immersion type, stainless steel, tubular heating elements that can swing up and they surround the sides, front, back and bottom of the cooking oil tank. There is also a handle on the heating elements so they can be raised and lowered. The temperature of the cooking oil in this restaurant fryer is determined by a thermostat that is adjustable from 250°F to 400°F. this thermostat has a positive OFF position and a signal light. Also inside of this deep fat fryer is a temperature limiting thermostat that functions if the fryer does overheat. When the thermostat senses an overheated condition, a signal light comes on.


Below the heating elements in this stainless steel deep fryer is a cold zone. This cold zone catches crumbs and food particles and holds them so they do not carbonize or contaminate the cooking oil. But you still have to filter your cooking oil often to prevent under or over cooking your food products. Be sure that you do not set the temperature too high on your fryer because the higher the temperature the faster the shortening breaks down. Also, be sure to clean your fryer often. The stainless steel should be wiped down with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner to prevent the possibility of rust and pitting. Be sure that you do not spill water on the controls or the control panel because that will cause internal damage to the frying machine.
