Vollrath's 67908 is a fry pan that is made from heavy duty, impact resistant 3004 aluminum. It measures as follows:

8 inches in diameter on top,
5 3/4 inches in diameter on bottom, and
1 7/8 inches in height.

This aluminum frying pan is NSF approved and is made right here in the USA. It is oven safe up to 450?F and the handle has a large hanging hole for easy storage. In addition, the handle is also a permanently bonded silicone rubber, which prevents burns. This fry pan is excellent for frying, searing, sauteing, and scrambling. It has curved side walls that make stirring and removing food really easy, and the sides are also sloped to prevent steam from forming in the pan.

It is important that you season your Gatorgrip fry pan before the first use by spraying it with vegetable oil or applying a small amount of shortening. Set a burner on medium heat and place the fry pan on the burner. Allow the pan to sit on the burner for about 5-10 minutes, or until the oil/shortening turns a deep amber color. Then, remove the pan, let the oil/shortening cool, and remove the oil/shortening with a paper towel. Now your commercial fry pan is ready for regular use.

When cooking with your Vollrath frying pan, it is important that you remove all labels first and use plastic, wooden, or rubber utensils. Don't forget that direct contact with salt may cause pitting, so you should allow salt to dissolve in boiling water. After you cook with your cookware, allow it to cool before cleaning it to prevent the possibility of warping. NEVER leave your aluminum fry pan or any other cookware on a heated surface without foods or liquid inside. And just a helpful tip from us: discoloration can be removed from aluminum cookware by boiling a solution of two tablespoons of cream of tartar for every quart of water that is in the cookware for about 10 minutes.
