This 2 HP motor disposer is equipped with continuous duty rating and manual reset thermal overload inherent protection. This Hobart disposer has heavy aluminum grind and discharge housings and also has four bolts that fasten the motor unit to the grind chamber to permit easy removal. The legs on this unit are tubular stainless steel with bullet feet to support the housing and they adjust to 3 inches in either direction. All Hobart disposers fasten to 7'' I.D. cones and a vinyl isolating ring eliminates metal-to-metal contact at the cone mounting which reduces vibration and noise transmission. The offset breaker blade is mounted at the center, speeds the grinding, and prevents any objects from ''riding'' at the center. The two hardened stainless steel cutter blocks are replaceable and can be indexed for new cutting edges. The corrosion resistant Ni-Reset flywheel is 7-3/16'' in diameter and the slots undercut the shredder ring to assure that particles are cut to the proper size before passing to the drain line. The motor shaft seal is a face-type seal that consists of sintered bronze mating ring and the spring loaded carbon ring insert in chemical resistant neoprene bellows. The mating surfaces are protected from grit or fibers by being recessed into the flywheel. If any moisture passes this seal, a flinger and drain tube is provided to insure immediate removal. All Hobart disposers operate in either direction of flywheel rotation and the direction can be controlled by the operator when installed. .
