The Toastmaster’s TMDC-48 is a gas radiant charbroiler that is excellent for cooking lamb, veal, chicken, steaks, and burgers. It is 48 inches in width, 14 inches in height, and 27 ½ inches in depth. It has four U shaped burners that are each controlled by an independent control flame and one standing pilot services each burner. This commercial gas broiler is stainless steel on the front and top rail and the sides and rear are made from aluminized steel. Four inch adjustable legs, a ¾ inch rear gas connection, and a gas pressure regulator are included at no extra charge, and for easy clean up there is even a crumb tray that is the full width of the front. The area over the burner in this gas broiler is covered by a stainless steel radiant and each burner uses 35,000 BTUs per hour using natural gas and 30,00 BTUs per hour using propane gas. The dual branding, cast iron cooking grates are reversible and one side will leave a ¼ inch brand and the other will leave a 1/8 inch brand on food products. The narrow grates have a a drain channel for grease and each burner has its own knob for adjustable flame height.
This Toastmaster charbroiler is intended for commercial use only and must be paced in a well ventilated, non-combustible location. It has no electrical requirements but before you install it you should check your local fire and sanitary regulations. This radiant charbroiler has a one year warranty on parts and labor in the U.S. and requires a commercial flex hose. To protect this long term investment be sure to clean the stainless steel on your gas broiler with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner. After every use, the top cooking grates should be cleaned using a stiff wire brush. To prevent the possibility of your food sticking to the broiling grates you should preheat the burners and dip your food products in a seasoned oil, which will also add extra flavor.
