Star’s 6024-CBD is a gas lava rock charbroiler. It has two cast iron burners that each have two stainless steel radiants. The cooking surface of this broiler is composed of two cast iron grates that are adjustable in height and reversible. One side is thick for delicate foods while the other side is thin for searing. Each of the burners use only 40,000 BTUs per hour and these burners provide superior broiling performance, excellent heat distribution, and maximum sectional control. Included with this lava rock charbroiler is a large capacity stainless steel water pan for easier clean up and a 2 ¾ inch high stainless steel tapered splash guard to provide protection against grease and spills. This Star brand broiler measures 24 inches in width, 15 ½ inches in height, and 25 ¾ inches in depth. It has a standing pilot ignition system and this charbroiler comes with a ¾ inch NPT gas connection and a convertible gas pressure regulator. To prevent food from sticking to the grates on your broiler you should preheat the grates before cooking on them and dip your food in oil. It is important to take care of this long term investment. To keep it in excellent condition the stainless steel should be wiped down often with a soft cloth and a non-chloride cleaner. Also, after every use the grates should be cleaned with a stiff wire brush. This lava rock charbroiler is NSF, AGA, and CGA approved. It has no electrical requirements but must be located in a non-combustible place that is well ventilated.
