In 1951, Bill Campbell invented the camtray® and enlisted his brothers’ help in selling the product to hospitals. They soon found that they could reach school, hotel, restaurant, and cafeterias venues with their durable product. From that point, they continued growing. In the 1960’s, the brothers began production of plate covers. Soon after that, their innovative spirit led them to being the first to combine plastic molding and foam insulation, thus making the first hot/cold food Camtainer®. The 1980’s was a year for export and European expansion. They quickly became the leading tray manufacturer in Europe, after acquiring two European tray companies. In recent days, the company has continued in creating innovative products with their ware washing systems, Camshelving®, and thermoelectric Camtherm® cabinets.
