The TUC-48 is a front breathing, two door, undercounter refrigerator, perfect for maximizing space in a busy restaurant kitchen. This portable restuarant cooler has two positive self-seal closing doors that have a 90º stay open feature. These doors, which swing within the cabinet dimensions, are fitted with 12 inch long recessed handles that are foamed in place with a sheet metal interlock to insure permanent attachment. The magnetic door gaskets are another handy feature because they are constructed in one piece and can be removed easily for cleaning without tools. This commercial cooler contains four PVC coated wire shelves that are adjustable on ½ inch increments. These shelves measure 21 9/16 inches in length and 16 inches in depth and they are supported on pilasters made of NSF approved white aluminum. The interior of the cooler is also composed of this same material and has a 300 series stainless steel floor, as does the exterior which has a high tensile strength and prevents scratches and dents. The exterior back of this portable refrigerator is made of aluminum and is very attractive. The entire cabinet structure and both the solid doors are foamed in place using high density, CFC fre, polyurethane insulation. On the bottom of the cabinet there are stem castors which are five inches in diameter. The stainless steel on this restaurant cooler is of evcellent quality but it is important to remember that it can be damaged by hard water depostits and food deposits if they are not cleaned off properly. Always use a non-chloride cleaner and a soft cloth to clean your stainless steel, never a wire brush or scraper.
The oversized, factory balanced refrigeration system on this portable cooler is the best available and has a 360º guided airflow to provide a uniform product temperature. It uses a factory engineered, self contained, capillary tubing system that uses CFC free 134A refrigerant. The epoxy coated evaporator in this portable refrigerator is 20%-40% larger than industry standards and the evaporator copper tubing is ½ inches in diameter as opposed to the industry standard of 3/8 inches, which gives quicker recovery times and a faster pull down of product temperature. The extra large evaporator coil is balanced with a higher compressor horsepower and a larger condenser which maintains cabinet temperatures between 33ºF and 38ºF. The sealed, cast iron, self-lubricated evaporator fan motors and the large fan blades give this True TUC48 a low velocity and a high volume airflow design that leads to shorter runtimes and faster temperature recovery.
This industrial cooler measures 48 3/8 inches in length, 30 1/8 inches in depth, and 29 ¾ inches in heigth with a crated weight of 270 pounds and a capacity of 12 cubic feet. It has a 1/3 horsepower, a voltage of 115/60/1 and 8.6 amps. Because this undercounter cooler is completly prewired in the factory, the 7 foot cord that is included with it is ready for connection into a 5-15 phase NEMA configured outlet. This commercial refrigerator has some optional features such as a cutting board or barrel locks. It can also be ADA compliant with a 2 ½ inch castor package. And remember, to get the most out of this valuable investment it is important to maintain your True TUC48 by cleaning the condenser coil and fan every thirty days with a stiff bristle brush.
